Then I go into a rant about excuses for some reason followed up by a little about my daughter's recent race plus Peachtree (the road race).

Music: "Keep on Running" by Jeff Hightower. The music is provided by Mevio's Music Alley. Check it out at "music.mevio.com".

Feedback - I want to thank 'BigBillRunner' for leaving feedback for my Podcast on iTunes, I really appreciate the feedback I get.

Carlos the Running Jackal sent me an audio clip, as you may know Carlos has many videos on Runcast.TV. Thanks for the feedback Carlos.

I do a little recon on the trails at Harbins Park. On Sept 25th there is going to be an XTERRA Trail race at Harbins Park, so I thought I would check out the venue. Good place to run.

My intro and outro music is from DigitalJuice, the intro is "StreetsOfBudapest" and the outro is "CountingDown".

Digitaljuice.com

This podcast was recorded using a Zoom H2 Handy Recorder with a Giant Squid podcasting microphone.

twitter: www.twitter.com/losttrailrunner

Blog: www.losttrailrunner.blogspot.com

e-mail ID: losttrailrunner@gmail.com

Skype voicemail: losttrailrunner

Comment Line: 206.350.9486 (new number)

LostTrailRunner Podcast by Ron Keyes is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 United States License.

Galloway "MM" run, an interval workout and a long run make up the backbone of the exercise week.

My take on Jeff Galloway's Magic Mile (MM) workout. This workout consists of a long warm up, a fast mile, then a long cooldown. The fast mile can be used to predict you 5K or 10K race pace. I'll explain, hope it makes sense.

Then I have another rambling conversation with my friend Joe as we take an easy walk at Mountain Park Park. During my conversation with Joe I mentioned Galloway's "Miracle Mile", I should have said "Magic Mile". We were walking because Joe had a 15K trail race the next day, so this was a rest day for him.

The intro music is: "Lumping Together" from my Stack Traxx number 35, European Reflections from Digital Juice.

Recorded using a Giant Squid Podcasting mic and a ZOOM H2 Handy Recorder.

Blog: http://losttrailrunner.blogspot.com

e-mail: losttrailrunner@gmail.com

The Race Director was really nice, he said just pick up my race packet and then we would go over to the scoring tent and get my name moved to the 11K race. No problem.

The temperature was more like 50 than 40 and it was sunny, but a little breezy.

The race started in the gravel parking lot, I hung near the back at the start. That probably was a mistake because when we hit the trail it was definitely single track. As a matter of fact it was single track for the whole race, very few wide spots for passing. Not that I passed very many people at all. Lots of uphill, lots of rocks, lots of roots, I was expecting to crash and burn but never did. I did trip a few times, but never hit the ground.

Since I really wasn't in shape for the 11K I figured I would just take it easy and cruise through it as a training run. Of course I was not expecting the course to be 8.11 miles, I was planning on 11K which is close to 7 miles. I don't know how the course got measured over a mile off in distance, but when I was ready for the race to be over I still had a mile to go. That was a bummer for sure.

The bright side was I still was able to finish 2nd in my age group. Even though the course was long I still enjoyed the race, I guess I just like trail races, they are so much different than road races.
